Both 6G and 6C have had the opportunity over the last few weeks to take the Handsworth Park Arts Trail. We were taken around the park by 2 local artists, who had both created some of the art in the park. You can go too!
First, we took the trail to have a look at most of the art pieces. We discussed their meaning, the artist who created it and the artist's inspiration for the piece.
On our way round, we noticed that there was a plinth without anything on top... This was our task! We had to create our own statue top to represent Handsworth and the park. We were given clay and natural items from the park (leaves, pine cones, sticks, etc).

What a wonderful opportunity to look at local Handsworth artists work in Handsworth Park. I loved all of the works on display and am very impressed with your own natural clay creations.Brilliant.
